American Academy of Equine Art Names New Administrative Manager

Frances Clay Conner, AAEA’s new Administrative Manager.

Frances Clay Conner is the new administrative manager of the American Academy of Equine Art, headquartered at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Conner, an equine enthusiast who hails from Prospect, Kentucky, is a graduate of Centre College, Danville, Kentucky. She has had many internships over the years and spent the last one at the 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games Foundation. She is also Assistant to the Director of the Rocky Mountain Horse Association. Conner’s primary interests are in marketing and communications, particularly as they relate to the equine field. According to AAEA president, Lloyd Kelley,“We are very pleased to have Conner on board, as her background in horses and administrative experience will enable our group to get to the next level quickly.”

Riding since five, Conner was a long-time member of Covered Bridge Pony Club. She also rode in three-day events for over 13 years, and recently began fox hunting with Long Run Hunt. She currently resides on the family farm in Georgetown, Kentucky, where she helps manage the up-and-coming horse facility.

Conner says; “I have come to know the horse park well, as I have competed there for many years. As a result I am comfortable in the setting and excited to jump in and get started. One of my first goals is to open AAEA to a younger generation while helping to showcase the world’s finest horse art.”
