Brenda Peo Wired art: Twisted Ponies
She starts with copper wire and builds the inside of the horse and works outward from there, just making it up as she goes along. Different colored wire used for floral arrangements and beading were acquired by Brenda to make tabletop-size to a four-foot-high sculpture aptly named Twisted Ponies. Each wire horse has its own character and is appropriately named. Brenda has been asked to do other animals, but horses are what she knows. When not creating wire sculpture or silver jewelry, she rides her Trakehner mare in the Arizona desert where she lives. Brenda Peo exhibited her sculpture at Art of the Horse Exhibit at the Art Center in Fallbrook, California, during the month of October 2007.
